Pickens County Family Connection is excited to announce the opening of the new Community Resource Center, created in partnership with Jasper United Methodist Church and located at 85 West Church Street, Jasper, GA 30143.
This new space represents the culmination of many dreams, prayers, partnerships, and countless hours of hard work from individuals and organizations committed to strengthening the Pickens County community. The Community Resource Center was created to serve as a welcoming place where individuals and families can find support, access resources, and connect with services that help them move forward with confidence and dignity.
The mission of the Community Resource Center is simple: to Connect, Equip, and Empower.
We strive to connect individuals and families with local resources, partner organizations, and opportunities for support. We work to equip community members with tools such as technology access, assistance navigating services, employment and job search support, and guidance through applications and referrals. Most importantly, we hope to empower our neighbors by creating a compassionate and encouraging environment where people feel seen, supported, and valued.
The center will provide assistance with:
- Accessing community resources and services
- Referrals to local partner organizations
- Employment and job searches
- Computer and WiFi access
- Assistance completing online applications and forms
- Connections to support programs for children and families
The Community Resource Center also reflects Pickens County Family Connection’s ongoing commitment to collaboration. By working closely with schools, nonprofits, churches, local agencies, and community partners, the center will help strengthen the network of support already serving Pickens County families.
“We know that many families face challenges that can feel overwhelming, especially when trying to navigate where to turn for help,” said Pickens County Family Connection. “Our hope is that the Community Resource Center becomes a place where people can walk through the door and know they are not alone.”
